Garmin launched the Foretrex 301 GPS Receiver which is the similar version of Foretrex 401 that was introduced on 16th June.
Foretrex 301 features dual-position readout allowing you to view your current location in various formats of your choice. Unlike the Foretrex 401, it doesn’t have the electronic compass and barometric altimeter but comes in lighter colour with AAA batteries allowing you to use it upto 18 hours.
This one is the waterproof GPS receiver with HotFix that helps in maintaining the satellite reception and keeps record of your whereabouts so that you’ll be able to retrace your path and find your starting point easily. Garmin Foretrex 301 can store up to 500 waypoints, 20 routes or a tracklog of up to 10,000 points and 10 saved tracks.
